Prismic lets you separate your content from your website.
They allow you to define the types of content you will be creating/managing. For example, a blog post would be something like, text for the title, rich content for the body, a date, an author, and maybe a primary image. Then content creators can log in and create the content. Finally, you access the content via an api, from whatever system you like.
For example, you could create an Angular app that consumes your Prismic API to deliver content to users. Or you could access the data from a backend framework, like Ruby on Rails, Django, or others. The advantage is that you can easily modify the structure of your data, and your content creators can log into a fully managed CMS, separating the content creation from your systems.
