Project Wonderful

Project Wonderful is a ad network that is commonly used on web comics, including Jeph Jacque's "Questionable Content."

The goal of Project Wonderful seems to be to make advertising less painful for everyone involved in the process.

They use a stright forward process they call the "infinite auction" to decide which ad gets shown. It quite simply shows the ad of whoever is willing to pay the most, unlike other advertising platforms which implement complex algorithms to determine what gets shown.

They also allow publishers to carefully manage what kind of ads are allowed on their site.
